Memorial Day 2010

We celebrated Memorial Day by heading to Birmingham for two nights to visit Grandmommy, a.k.a. "MoMo", and Granddaddy. While we were there, we took Collin to the Birmingham Zoo. Last time we were there Collin was not old enough to walk around on his own without tiring. This time, however, was a different story. Collin walked around the entire zoo and got to see all the animals. His favorites seemed to be the lions, turtles, and snakes. It was so much fun to watch him observing all the animals. He just stared in awe at each exhibit and wanted to know the name of every animal we passed. He also got to ride on the minituare train that goes around the zoo and ring the train bell when he was finished. In addition to the zoo, he also had a great time playing with all the new toys Grandmommy had for him and climbing up and down her stairs a dozen or more times each day. He loved all the attention he got and cannot wait to go and visit again!
