Little Bulldog

When Papa came to babysit on Saturday night he brought Collin a new Georgia Bulldog outfit. Patrick was not so sure about it since he loves Auburn but I dressed him in it anyway. Check out the cute pictures of our little Bulldog. Papa insists he wear it every Saturday.

Night with Papa

Last night Collin got to have a night with Papa. He came over to babysit while Patrick and I went to a social at church. Papa said Collin was a good boy and they had lots of fun. Best of all, it was free babysitting:) I am sure Collin got spoiled with lots of hugs and kisses!

Collin's 1st Trip to the Beach

Collin just got back from his first trip to the beach! The whole family went to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina from August 9th-August 16th with Papa (Brooke's Dad), Aunt Brittany, Uncle Jon and soon-to-be Aunt Lotis.

The trip down did not go so well. We decided we would leave Saturday night around 5:00 so that Collin would hopefully sleep the some of the time. Oh no, Collin was not having any of that. He did okay for the first hour, thanks to the new DVD player Patrick installed in the SUV, but after that it was nothing but screaming until we got to the condo at 10:00pm. Patrick and I have never been happier to arrive anywhere before.

Once we got to Hilton Head, Collin had a great time. Patrick and I were a little overprotective of Collin and tried to keep him out of the sun and heat for most of the trip. We took him down to the beach in the mornings and late afternoon. Collin did not really know what to think of the ocean breeze but eventually got used to it. He loved sticking his toes in the water but had more fun rolling over and trying to eat his beachtowel. He also enjoyed laying in the tent that our friends loaned us on the beach. Our BOB stroller got a lot of use on the trip as Collin went walking with us almost every morning and most evenings on the beach. Every night we went out to dinner and Collin was such an angel and fell asleep all but one so that everyone could enjoy a nice dinner together. He really loved the attention he got from all his family members. He had a great time bonding with the Dunaway side of the family and really loved playing with his Papa.

Luckily our trip home was great! We left Hilton Head around 6:15pm and Collin watched his Baby Einstein DVD's for the first hour, ate, and then fell asleep until we got to Macon. We then made a Starbuck's stop and changed Collin into his pajamas. We finally arrived home around 11:00pm last night.

Our Rolling Obession

It is official. Collin Patrick Hardy is obsessed with rolling. For the past two weeks Collin has been showing us that he knows how to roll over from his back to his stomach. Now he will not stop doing it! As soon as he is placed on the floor on his back, he immediately rolls over. He did it all day, every day at the beach and we finally captured him on camera. He is also starting to roll over in his sleep and loves it! For the past two nights, he has slept on his stomach until 7:45am. Mommy and Daddy can begin to love this:)

Collin Is Five Months Old

Collin has grown so much over the past five months. Our little baby is now becoming a precious little boy. When Patrick and I weighed him two weeks ago he was 16 pounds. Our little man is busting out of all his clothes and is now in 6 to 9 month attire. Everytime we take him out, people comment that he is the biggest 5 month old they have ever seen. Mommy and Daddy think his hair makes him look older than he really is:)

Collin has done many new things over the past month. Mommy and Daddy are happy to report that he now sleeps 11 hours at night in his own crib! This is a huge accomplishment and means the whole Hardy family is much better rested. He loves to roll over to his side and sleep which is probably much more comfortable than his back. Collin is still a 30 minute napper and we are hoping this will improve soon. His new fasnition is putting EVERYTHING in his mouth. Anything and everything he can get his hands on goes straight to the mouth. His favorite thing to put in his mouth are his hands and feet. He is definitely teething but as of now no teeth have broke the skin. Collin has also started to laugh a lot this month. He has a very deep laugh that cracks his Mommy and Daddy up. He is also starting to recognize people and voices. If he hears Patrick or I talking he will stop what he is doing and look around until he finds us. He smiles everytime we walk into the room and is also starting to recognize and remember family members like Papa, Grandmommy and his Aunt B. Another big accomplishment this month was solid food! Our little Collin has sampled rice cereal and sweet potatoes and loves them both!

We cannot put into words how much Collin means to us. We never knew we could love someone so much. Collin's smile melts our hearts day after day and all we want to do is spoil him with hugs, kisses and attention. We are tremendously blessed with such a loving little boy who has his Mommy and Daddy wrapped around his little finger!
