Collin 1st Soccer Game

We recently signed Collin up for his first season of soccer at Johns Creek Baptist Church. He is on team Thunder for 4 and 4 year olds. So far he has had one practice and today was his first game. He is still trying to get familiar with the sport, but had a lot of fun attempting to play. He even got a star sticker after the game for putting forth a good effort. Mommy and Daddy cannot wait to see how much he improves and see him score his first goal!

While Collin Is Away, Parker Will Play

Parker quickly learned that Collin does not want him near his toys, especially his prized matchbox cars that he so carefully arranges on his table each day. However, Parker is determined to get them and makes a beeline for them every time Collin is not around. On the days Collin has school, Parker will take off crawling for them as soon as we get home. In his mind there has to be something wonderful about them since big brother plays with them all the time. Parker has the best time inspecting each car, rolling it on the table, and throwing it across the floor. Collin would have a fit if he knew, but hey, what brother doesn't know won't hurt him!

Parker's 1st Birthday Party

Roar on over and have some fun, our little lion is turning one! Today we celebrated Parker’s first birthday with a jungle themed family birthday party. All of the family came over to celebrate the birthday boy! I decorated the table with elephant, zebra, and giraffe centerpieces I found on Etsy. They were really easy to make and turned out really cute. I also had a custom cake and smash cake made to match the theme. All of the guests feasted on “Gorilla Grapes”, “Panda Pizza”, and had various “Jungle Juices” to drink. Parker had a wonderful time and was in awe of all the people there to celebrate him. When it came time for the smash cake, we were a little concerned how he would do. At his first year photo session, he tasted his first cupcake and immediately gagged himself until he threw it all up. This time we let him explore the cake on his own instead of forcing him to take a bite like at the photo session. Once he tasted it, he immediately went back for more. He seemed to love Miss Amy’s cakes as much as we did. We then played a video for the guests showcasing pictures from his first year set to Rascal Flatts “My Wish“. We then let him open his gifts. He loaded up on tons of goodies including a little slide, Fisher Price farm, rolling caterpillar, singing ladybug and two adorable outfits for him to wear this summer. All in all he had a wonderful birthday. Happy birthday Parky Sparky! We love you more than you will ever know!
