3rd Trimester

We are now officially in our 3rd trimester. Yeah! Only 13 or so weeks until our little boy arrives. We cannot wait to see him! Collin is now starting to move a lot more. He especially loves to make his presence known whenever I sit down or lie on my side. I am pretty sure he had hiccups last night. For about 30 seconds or so I could feel him move in a pattern, and then it stopped. It was so neat and reassures us that he is doing good!

Daddy Felt Me Move!

Today Patrick was able to feel the baby move for the first time. We had just gone to bed when Baby Collin decided he wanted to play. He was kicking on the right side of my stomach and Patrick was able to feel it for the first time. He was so excited!

3-D Ultrasound

Today we went and had a 3-D ultrasound. We wanted to verify that we were indeed expecting a boy and get another glimpse of our little miracle. The ultrasound showed all the boy parts! We also got to see an up close image of Collin's face and his five fingers and toes. We also found out he is a thumb sucker. Throughout the ultrasound he was sucking his thumb, and then pulling it out. Luckily we were able to capture it on video. It will be interesting to see if he still likes sucking his thumb when he is born

It's A Boy!

Today we had our big ultrasound to check and make sure everything is on track with the baby. The ultrasound technician was immediately able to see that IT'S A BOY. We were so excited! Brooke had a gut feeling it was a boy. Mommy's instinct:) His name is going to be Collin Patrick Hardy. (Patrick after his daddy)
We also found out that everything is developing normally and he appears healthy. The ultrasound technician did say that he appears to have a mind of his own as he would not cooperate with her. She had to push him all around to get the pictures she needed. After all that pushing, Brooke was able to feel the baby move for the first time when we left the office.
After the ultrasound we headed down to Pottery Barn Kids to celebrate and get Collin's bedding. His room is going to have a train theme and definitely be all boy!

We Heard A Heartbeat!

Today we had our monthly doctor visit. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat on the doppler machine for the first time. It was 155, which the doctor said is very strong

We're Expecting

Today Patrick and I found out we are expecting! We took two pregnancy tests just to make sure it was true:) We immediately called both sets of soon-to-be grandparents to share the news. Everyone is so excited!
