Today Parker started Parents Morning Out at Johns Creek United Methodist Church. Collin attended one day a week when he was the same age so we decided to go ahead and enroll Parker, hoping it would help with his separation anxiety. Unfortunately, Parker was not to thrilled about going. He was happy walking into the school but as soon as I passed him over to the teacher the crying began. He was not at all happy about Mommy leaving him. In fact, as Collin and I sat in the library waiting for the announcement that he could go to his class, we could still hear him screaming. It broke my heart but Patrick and I had agreed to try it out to see if he would eventually adapt. When I returned three hours later, he was still upset and had tears in his eyes. Miss Jennifer said he was upset the whole day and cried on and off but it was to be expected the first day. We are going to give it a month and see if he gets any better before making a decision to pull him out. Fingers crossed we will see some improvement!

Collin's First Day of Pre-K
Today Collin started pre-k! Where has the time gone? How is it possible my little boy is already this old? Once again he is attending Johns Creek United Methodist Church, which we absolutely love. We met his teachers, Miss Leigh and Miss Laura, at open house last week and were very impressed with both of them and the curriculum. He should be more than ready academically for kindergarten once the year is over. Collin also went and met both teachers and his classmates last week and was super excited about going this morning. We dressed him in his new school clothes and new "cool" running shoes and he was ready to go. As soon as the teacher came to get him, he hopped out of the car, grabbed her hand, and was ready to go. He did not even look back to say goodbye. When I picked him up his teacher told me he had a fabulous day. She said he was a sweet little boy and talked to all the other children. He chatted the whole way home about everything he did. He told me all about Miss Leigh's cars and other toys. He named several friends he played with and said he had tons of fun and wanted to go back tomorrow. What a blessing! We are so lucky to have found a preschool that is both loving and educational and where Collin loves going. We are looking forward to a great year!
